Marlene Goubault-Body is a Professor of Behavioral Ecology at the University of Tours, France. She leads research in the ESORE team (Social Evolution and Response to the Environment) at the Institute for Research on Insect Biology (IRBI, UMR CNRS 7261). Her work focuses on behavioral and evolutionary ecology, including conflict resolution in animal competition, hormonal influences on aggression, and reciprocal mate choice dynamics. She also co-directs the Animal Biology and Genetics teaching department and co-heads the Master 2 Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution program.

Research Themes: She investigates game theory applications to animal competition, hormonal regulation of behavior (juvenile hormone/ecdysteroids), and reproductive conflicts between sexes/same-sex individuals. Recent projects include biodiversity assessment techniques in vineyards of Centre-Val de Loire, collaborating with CETU INNOPHYT to identify landscape/cultural factors impacting arthropod diversity.
