Markus Ullsperger

Markus Ullsperger is a Professor of Neuropsychology at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg (Faculty of Natural Sciences, Institute of Psychology) since 2012. He also holds a part-time position as Professor of Cognitive Control at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, Radboud University Nijmegen. His research focuses on the neural and neurochemical foundations of adaptive, goal-directed behavior, with emphasis on action monitoring, cognitive control, and decision-making processes.

His work explores disruptions of these functions in neurological and psychiatric disorders, including therapeutic modulation strategies. He specializes in multimodal cognitive neuroscience methods such as simultaneous EEG/fMRI and independent component analysis (ICA).
