Prof. Dr. Markus Trunk is a Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Trier's Department III - Classical Archaeology (Focus: Rome and its Provinces). His research emphasizes Roman architectural history, sculpture, and the reception of antiquity in early modern Europe, with a particular focus on the Iberian Peninsula via the Toletum Network. He teaches courses such as Introduction to Classical Archaeology, Art and Archaeology of the Greek World, and co-leads interdisciplinary colloquia on Roman archaeology.
