Prof. Dominik Maschek is a Professor of Roman Archaeology at Faculty III. His research focuses on architecture, art, and material culture in Italy and Roman provinces, with emphases on economic analysis of building projects, architectural practices, and geophysical prospection. He leads fieldwork projects in Fregellae and Carnuntum, employing GIS modeling and virtual reconstruction techniques. His office is located at the main library (Room BZ 37e), and his office hours are Tuesdays 2-3 PM (in-person or via Zoom). He teaches the Archaeology of the Greek-Hellenistic World seminar (Tuesdays 12-2 PM) and co-hosts the Greco-Roman Research Colloquium (Tuesdays 2-4 PM).
