معرفی
Markus Lahikainen is a Researcher at Tampere University, affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Materials Science and Environmental Engineering department. He contributes to the Smart Photonics Materials research group, focusing on hydrogels, liquid-crystal polymers, and stimuli-responsive materials.
His research explores photomechanical actuation, dynamic material systems, and light-responsive polymers, with applications in soft robotics and optical engineering. Recent publications highlight tunable metal-hydrogel-metal cavities, curvature control in hydrogels, and non-reciprocal actuation principles.
He has published extensively in high-impact journals like ACS Photonics, Nature Communications, and Soft Matter, emphasizing multi-stimuli responsiveness, supramolecular chemistry, and light-driven device applications.
Markus teaches chemistry theory and laboratory courses for bachelor's students and engages in collaborative research with international teams, as evidenced by co-authorships with Priimagi, Zeng, and Hayward.
