Prof. Markus Brueckner is a Professor of Macroeconomics at the Research School of Economics, Australian National University. His research focuses on economic growth, fiscal policy, political economy, and development economics. He has held previous academic positions at the University of Queensland, National University of Singapore, and University of Adelaide. Brueckner has consulted extensively for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank on topics such as national income distribution, growth challenges in Latin America, and fiscal policy rules. He holds a PhD in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
