Marko Pajevic is a prominent scholar in German literature, poetics, and cultural theory. He currently holds positions as Visiting Professor of Poetic Thinking at the University of Tartu (since 2023) and Associate Professor of German Literature at Uppsala University. His academic journey includes roles at Queen Mary University of London, Royal Holloway University of London, and Université de Paris-Sorbonne. Pajevic earned his PhD (1999) from Université de Paris 8 and Freie Universität Berlin, with a habilitation (2012) focusing on 'Poetic Thinking and the Human.' His research explores poetic theory, biopolitics, language philosophy, and translation studies.
