Marko Kolaković is a full professor with permanent position at the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb, where he has been teaching since 2001. He is affiliated with the Entrepreneurship Department and maintains office in room 226. His academic career spans over two decades at the institution, progressing from assistant professor to his current position as full professor.

Dr. Kolaković completed his B.Econ. (1994), M.Sc. (1998), and Ph.D. (2001) at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. His academic journey began with assistant positions at the Faculty of Law (1996-2001) before transitioning to his permanent position at the Faculty of Economics.
His research interests focus on entrepreneurship, strategic management of small and medium enterprises, intellectual capital, and the competitiveness of Croatian businesses within the European Union framework. He has led numerous research projects examining the development potential of Croatian small businesses, social entrepreneurship, and strategic networking for competitiveness enhancement. His work often explores the intersection of traditional business models with virtual economy concepts.
Dr. Kolaković has served in various leadership roles including Head of the graduate professional study program in Entrepreneurship Economics, Head of Strategic Entrepreneurship program since 2007, and Head of the lifelong learning program FBA 'Entrepreneurship in the Knowledge Economy' since 2009. He founded and served as the first president of the Student Entrepreneurial Incubator of the University of Zagreb.
