Marko Dimitrijević is an Associate Professor (PhD) at the Faculty of Law, University of Niš (Republic of Serbia), and currently serves as Vice Dean for Science and Finances. He coordinates the Jean Monnet Module for European Monetary Law (MONELA) and specializes in European and International Monetary Law, Economic Policy for Lawyers, and the Law of the European Union's Economic System. His research focuses on digital money, monetary sovereignty in the digital age, and Serbian law harmonization with EU standards. He has conducted research at institutions including Saarland University’s European Institute, the Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finances (Munich), and the Max Planck Institute for International, European and Regional Procedural Law (Luxembourg). In September 2022, he will be a guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public and International Law (Heidelberg). He is an observer at the ELI Institute (University of Wien) and a member of the Serbian Fiscal Society (branch of IFA-Rotterdam).
His teaching and research address contemporary challenges in monetary law, including digital currency regulations and the intersection of EU policies with national legal frameworks. He has authored a scientific monograph on International Monetary Law Institutions and contributed to numerous peer-reviewed articles and international conferences.
