Mark Whisman is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder and Director of the Honors Residential Academic Program (HRAP). He holds a PhD from the University of Washington (1990). His research focuses on intimate relationships, depression, and cognitive theories of mental health. Academic appointments include roles at Yale University (1993–1999) and Penn State University (1990–1993).
Research Interests: Functioning in marriage, depression onset/treatment, cognitive therapy, and individual/relationship factors affecting adverse outcomes. Publications span marital dynamics, psychopathology, and intervention strategies.
