Prof Mark Tjoelker is an internationally recognized leader in sustainable ecosystems and climate change research, focusing on forestry, horticulture, and agricultural systems. He serves as Interim Director of the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (Western Sydney University) and leads the Australian Plant Phenomics Network's whole-tree chamber facility. Previously, he was a Professor of Ecosystem Science at Texas A&M University (2000–2011). His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and sustainable cities.
