Mark Thatcher is an Associate Professor of the Practice in the Department of Classical Studies at Boston College. He holds a Ph.D. from Brown University and specializes in Greek history and culture, particularly focusing on cross-cultural connections and identity formation in ancient Sicily. His research explores themes such as ethnicity, Hellenic identity, and political dynamics in the Archaic and Classical periods. He teaches courses on Greek and Roman history, literature, and language, including 'Greek History,' 'Ancient Sicily,' and advanced language courses in Greek and Latin.
