Mark Rogers is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Tennessee Tech University. He has held academic positions at the University of Mississippi (1998-2004) and Mesa State College (2004-2011) before joining TTU in 2011. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student engagement and the integration of technology in the classroom.
Education includes a B.A. and B.S. from the University of Mississippi (1995), an M.S. in Mathematics (1999), and PhD work in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education (ABD status).
Research interests include combinatorics and the history of mathematics. He teaches courses such as the history of mathematics and actively incorporates technology to enhance classroom discussions. Personal interests include leading study-abroad programs in Europe with students and exploring cultural sites like Paris. A lifelong Cardinals fan, he enjoys sports and academic pursuits with his wife, a world history professor.
