Mark Mueckenheim

Mark Mueckenheim is an accomplished architect and academic, currently serving as Graduate Director of the School of Architecture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (since 2013) and Honorary Adjunct Professor at the School of Architecture, Art & Design at ITM (sls) Baroda University, India (since 2022). He previously held roles such as Visiting Professor and Department Chair for Architectural Design and Methodology at Technical University of Munich (2009–2012), and Assistant Professorships at RWTH Aachen University (2002–2008) and Bergische Universität Wuppertal (2001–2002). His career spans over 25 years in academia, design, and practice, with global projects in Germany, the U.S., Brazil, and beyond.

**Education**: Mueckenheim earned a Master of Architecture from Parsons School of Design (1998) and a Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL (2001), supported by a Fulbright Scholarship and DAAD Merit-Based Grant. His academic journey included studies in Germany, the U.S., and England.

**Research & Practice**: His work bridges theory and practice, focusing on design methodology, architectural typology, resilient building integration, and environmental sustainability.
