Mark Morris is Assistant Professor of Practice in Glass and 3-D Foundations at Southern Illinois University’s School of Art and Design, where he also serves as the glass-studio technician. He previously taught glass at Tulane University for three years and has over a decade of experience as a teaching artist and studio manager at the YAYA Arts Center in New Orleans.

Research & Creative Focus
Morris’s practice is rooted in glass art and sculptural foundations. He has honed his expertise through residencies and teaching engagements at the Toyama City Institute of Glass Art in Japan, Urban Glass in Brooklyn, Bullseye Glass Factory in Portland, and twelve summers at the renowned Pilchuck Glass School in various roles including staff, student, and teaching assistant.
