Mark Morris is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of English and Film Studies at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts, where he has taught since 2000. A multi-faceted academic, he is also an award-winning librettist, music critic, theatre director, broadcaster, curator, and photographer with international recognition for his creative and scholarly work.
His educational background includes:
- BA from the University of Oxford
- MA from the University of Oxford
- PhD in Creative Writing (Canada's first) from the University of Calgary (1996)
His research spans creative non-fiction, children's literature, Shakespeare studies (including authorship skepticism), and the social-political history of Western genre film/novel.
