Mark Masuoka is an Assistant Professor of Art at Taylor University, where he also serves as the Director of Boren Art Gallery. With over 30 years of experience as an art museum executive director/CEO and practicing artist, his work bridges artistic creation and community engagement.
- Education: MFA in Sculpture/Ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art
- BFA in Sculpture/Glass/Ceramics from University of Hawaii
His research and creative practice focuses on the integration of art with life and faith, alongside explorations in art history and curatorial studies. Mark has curated over 100 exhibitions and pioneered significant community art initiatives.
Mark co-founded Hazel Dell Studios, a multidisciplinary art studio specializing in sculpture, painting, and ceramics. His career highlights reflect a deep commitment to both academic art education and public-facing creative leadership.
