Mark Marino

Mark Marino is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University at Buffalo, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) from the University at Buffalo. His teaching excellence has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2016), the Milton Plesur Award (2019), and the Friend of Educational Opportunity Program Award (2017).

His research interests focus on Mathematics Education, Curriculum Development, and integrating technology into teaching. He has presented at national and international conferences, including the Cornell University Mathematics Teacher Professional Development Workshops, the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State Conference, and the College Board Advanced Placement events.

Marino has held leadership roles in educational organizations, serving as President (2010–2014) and Vice President (2009–2010) of the Graduate School of Education Alumni Association at UB. He is currently a College-Level Representative on the Executive Board of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (2024–2026).
