Mark Lipovetsky is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Slavic Languages at Columbia University. He specializes in post-Soviet cultural studies, Russian postmodernism, and Soviet underground culture.
Research Interests: His work focuses on post-Soviet cultural and literary phenomena, including late Soviet nonconformist culture, Russian postmodernist literature, post-Soviet drama, and the role of tricksters in Soviet cultural narratives.
