Katerina Pavlidi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of College Dublin's School of English, Drama and Film. She holds a PhD in Slavonic Studies from the University of Cambridge (2023), an MPhil from Cambridge, and a BA (Hons) from the University of Cyprus. Her research focuses on late Soviet underground cultural practices, social trust dynamics between the Soviet Union and post-Soviet Russia, and the intersection of language, body, and artistic production. She co-organizes the interdisciplinary 'Late Soviet Temporalities' reading group, exploring late Soviet conceptions of time.
Her academic expertise spans Russian literature, Soviet Studies, and performance studies. She has received grants from the UCD College of Arts and Humanities, CEELBAS AHRC CDT, and the Cambridge Trust, among others. Pavlidi teaches 'Critical Theory' and has organized workshops on theatre, migration, and labour in global contexts. She is fluent in multiple languages and certified as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Her publications critically examine trust in postmodern Russian literature, conceptualist art practices, and the materiality of Soviet texts. Pavlidi’s work bridges literary analysis with broader sociocultural inquiry, emphasizing historical legacies in contemporary contexts.
