Fr. Mark Hunt serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies within the School of Arts & Sciences at Holy Family University. He is also a Roman Catholic diocesan priest of the Philadelphia Archdiocese and occasionally teaches as an adjunct professor at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
His academic credentials include:
- STD (Doctor of Sacred Theology) from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Rome) with concentration in Dogmatic Theology and Patristics
- STL (Licentiate in Sacred Theology) from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Dogmatic Theology
- MA in Fundamental Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary
- BA in Philosophy from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary
Fr. Hunt's research spans multiple theological disciplines with particular expertise in Fundamental, Patristic, and Sacramental Theology. He also pursues scholarship in Eastern Patrology, Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, RCIA, and the New Evangelization, with special interest in the works of Teilhard de Chardin.
Combining traditional theological scholarship with contemporary technical skills, he maintains proficiency in html5, php, mySQL, WordPress, and Apple application development. His diverse background includes previous work as an electrician and boilermaker, and he continues to practice cabinetry and welding in his personal workshop.
