Mark Hart is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion at the Cambridge School of Art, Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Anglia Ruskin University. His practice-based research investigates physical and technological interactions between designer, body, dress, materiality, and time to develop emergent design strategies.
He holds advanced qualifications in fashion design:
- MA in Fashion Design (Fashion Womenswear) from Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design
- BA (Hons) Fashion Design
His research repositions the body and material at the design process center to generate multi-dimensional objects through body-dress assemblages, intervening in ready-to-wear methodologies. Core interests include:

Mark exhibits at London Fashion Week and has collaborated with Chloe, Alexander McQueen, Warner Bros. Records, and London Records. His work appears in Vogue (UK/Japan/Taiwan), The Guardian, Tank Magazine, Glamour Magazine, and ID Magazine. He teaches Creative Research & Design Development, Cut/Form/Construction, Conceptual Fashion & Materiality, Sportswear Design, and Fashion Promotion Major Project while maintaining Fellowship in the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
