Mark Hannah is an Associate Professor at ArtCenter College of Design (since 2012) and Gnomon School of Visual Effects (since 1999), specializing in cross-disciplinary design. He founded Hatch (2003), an independent art venue in Pasadena, and operates the design consultancy THIEFIT, focusing on sustainable solutions.

His research interests span transportation, furniture, consumer goods, entertainment, and education design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. He has collaborated with major companies including Walt Disney, General Motors, and Columbia Pictures.
Hannah teaches courses such as Viscom Fundamentals (ILL-102 series) and Perspective (ILL-106 series) at ArtCenter. Through HatchPops, he continues to showcase creative work while balancing academic and industry roles.
