Mark H. Krotowski

Dr. Mark H. Krotowski is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Downstate Health Sciences University. He joined the faculty in 1979 as a community volunteer preceptor after completing his medical education and residency. Currently working part-time, he has supervised residents at Family Medicine practice sites for decades, emphasizing traditional clinical skills.

• Education: Tel Aviv University Medical School, Israel (MD, 1976); Pediatrics and Family Practice residency at Brookdale University Hospital (1976-1979).

Research Interests focus on chronic disease management, particularly Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus, within community-based family medicine contexts. His work addresses patient care for Arthritis and other common conditions.

Leadership Roles: Chair Emeritus of the Department of Family Medicine at Brookdale University Hospital and past President of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians (NYSAFP).

Professional Memberships include the Medical Society State of NY (MSSNY), World Organization of Family Physicians (WONCA), and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM).
