Mark Favot, MD, is Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University School of Medicine and serves concurrently as Director of Emergency Ultrasound Education at Sinai-Grace Hospital/Detroit Medical Center and Co-Director of the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center. His career has been dedicated to advancing point-of-care ultrasound education and clinical integration within emergency medicine.

He has led curriculum development initiatives that integrate ultrasound training into all levels of medical education—from first-year medical students to senior residents and fellows—ensuring competency-based skill acquisition.
