Professor Mark Evans (PhD, FIPAA, FRSN) is a leading scholar in democratic governance and public policy, currently transitioning from his role as Deputy Vice Chancellor Research (DVCR) at Charles Sturt University (2021–June 2025) to founding an international governance consultancy. He previously directed the Democracy 2025 initiative at the Museum of Australian Democracy and held senior roles in the UK, including Head of the Department of Politics at the University of York and Provost of Halifax College.
