Mark Delewski

Prof. Dr. Mark Delewski is a German qualified lawyer, professor, and partner in the Healthcare practice group of KLEINER Rechtsanwälte, Stuttgart. Since 2020 he also serves as Lehrbeauftragter (adjunct professor) at the University of Hohenheim, teaching and researching in health-care and life-science law. Over more than two decades he has advised national and international pharmaceutical, medical-device, food and cosmetics companies on regulatory, commercial and public-law issues, including periods spent in-house (Nestlé UK Ltd, London).

Research & expertise:
His scholarly and advisory work centres on the intersection of life-science regulation and administrative, civil and competition law. Core themes include pharmaceutical law (drug approval, pharmacovigilance, AMG), food law (health claims, novel foods, supplements), medical-device regulation and cosmetics law, as well as public construction law and private-school law.

Publications:
Prof. Delewski has authored or co-authored more than 50 commentaries, monographs and journal articles, many of which appear in leading German reference works such as the C.H. Beck commentaries on the German Medicinal Products Act (AMG) and Food Information Regulation (LMIV). His writings track evolving EU and German jurisprudence, notably ECJ and BGH decisions on health claims and borderline food–medicine products.

Teaching & events:

While not running a traditional laboratory, Prof. Delewski leads cross-disciplinary legal teams at KLEINER Rechtsanwälte that integrate regulatory scientists, pharmacists and economists to deliver strategic advice to life-science clients.
