Mark Cross is a distinguished Professor of Music Production and Composition for Visual Media, affiliated with Berklee College of Music, California State University Northridge, and Los Angeles College of Music. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from Boston University and dual Bachelor of Music degrees from Berklee College of Music. His expertise spans audio post-production, film/TV scoring, and music technology.
- Teaches courses in Music Technology, Composition for Visual Media, and Audio Post-Production.
- Authored Audio Post Production for Film and Television (Hal Leonard/Berklee Press).
His research focuses on integrating advanced audio technologies with visual storytelling, emphasizing practical applications in film and television sound design. Over two decades, he has contributed to iconic projects like Cars, Seabiscuit, and ER.
Recipient of Grammy and Oscar recognition, his work bridges academic teaching and industry leadership. He has composed over 1,000 tracks for global media projects and led scoring for NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
