Mark Chesak is a Lecturer in the Department of Film and Television at Boston University. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, he has edited major TV documentaries for networks including NOVA, Frontline, Discovery Channel, History Channel, and NBC Sports.

Mark specializes in documentary editing, focusing on adventure sports, reality TV, and investigative journalism. His collaborative work with filmmakers like Thomas Draudt and David Fanning highlights his expertise in storytelling and technical editing. He also contributes to academic training as an Avid Certified Instructor and Adobe Premiere Pro trainer.
Mark's teaching extends beyond Boston University to institutions like Harvard University’s Department of Visual and Environmental Studies, Fort Bragg’s Kennedy School of Special Warfare, and the Maine International Film Television Workshops. He has provided specialized training to professionals from CNN Middle East Bureau, Al Jazeera America, and White House Communications staff.
