Zrull’s work explores neural activity in adolescent rats during interactions with conspecifics and environments, utilizing archival datasets. Past studies involved rodent models of reflex epilepsy. His recent publications highlight neural responses in the entorhinal cortex and amygdala, while older work examines seizure mechanisms and educational frameworks.
His publications span neuroscience, education, and behavioral research, with a focus on undergraduate mentorship and curricular innovation. Collaborative projects with students are central to his career, including roles in promoting student-led research and publishing.
