Professor Mark Byron (BA, MPhil, PhD - Cambridge) is a faculty member at the University of Sydney's Discipline of English and Writing. He serves as a member of the China Studies Centre, Sydney Social Sciences and Humanities Advanced Research Centre (SSSHARC), Sydney Environment Institute, and The Vere Gordon Childe Centre.

His research bridges Modernism with medieval textual practices and East-West literary exchanges, emphasizing digital scholarly editions of Beckett and Pound. Recent articles explore Beckett's geological imagination, Pound's archival methods, and indigenous/medieval intertexts.
