Mark Borucki is a Lecturer in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), affiliated with the College of Letters & Science. His research focuses on defining the glacial history of the late Pleistocene stratigraphy in southeastern Wisconsin, particularly along the lakefront bluffs and subsurface deposits at Cudahy, Wisconsin.
Research priorities include analyzing a 50,000-year-old sediment layer 4 meters below beach elevation, dating glacial events through bluff/sub-bluff stratigraphy, and interpreting paleoenvironmental conditions via till body basal contacts. His work contributes to understanding regional glacial dynamics and environmental changes.
As a PhD student advisor under Dr. John Isbell, he engages in graduate education within the department. The Geosciences department is located in Lapham Hall, Room 366, with contact available through phone (414) 229-4561 or email geosci-staff@uwm.edu.
