Mark Bentley is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at Anglia Ruskin University's Faculty of Business and Law, based in Cambridge. His expertise spans business, management, leadership, and organizational behaviour, with a focus on work engagement and supply chain logistics. He has extensive practitioner experience in supply chain operations, governance, and skills-based training.
Background: Mark transitioned from a career in supply chain leadership to education in 2021, where he developed logistics curricula and apprenticeship programs at a further education institution. His teaching includes sustainable supply chain management, operations management, and project supervision at postgraduate levels.
Research Interests: Urban and last-mile logistics, future supply chain operations, and sustainable supply chain management. He emphasizes collaborative research communities with students and explores pedagogical innovations in supply chain education.
Qualifications & Affiliations: PhD Candidate (2nd year), MSc Management Development, PGCert Management Education, BA (Hons) Business. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Royal Society Arts (RSA), and co-Track Chair for Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management at the British Academy of Management.
Teaching & Supervision: Supervises MSc projects on sustainable/green supply chains and disruption. Teaches modules like Sustainable Supply Chain Management (Level 7) and Major Project Dissertation supervision.
Recent Activities: Presented at the 2021 International Conference on Learning (University of Valencia) and British Academy of Management (2019). Engages in media outreach via radio broadcasts and press interviews.
