Mark Aurel Schoettler

Mark Aurel Schoettler is a Research Group Leader in Photosynthesis Research at the Max-Planck-Institut für Molekulare Pflanzenphysiologie in Potsdam, Germany. He leads a research group focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of photosynthesis and chloroplast function in plants.

Dr. Schoettler received his Diploma in 2000 and Ph.D. in 2005 from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. Following his doctoral studies, he completed a postdoctoral position in the department of Prof. Ralph Bock at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology from 2005 to 2006 before establishing his independent research group.
