Fabienne Bürki

Dr. Fabienne Bürki serves as a Research Fellow and Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam, Germany. She is embedded within Department 3 (led by Prof. Bock), formally designated as Organelle Biology, Biotechnology and Molecular Ecophysiology, and maintains active involvement with the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for graduate student training and interdisciplinary research initiatives.

Her scholarly work centers on Organelle Biology, where she investigates structural and functional dynamics of plant cellular organelles including chloroplasts and mitochondria; Biotechnology, applying genetic engineering and synthetic biology to develop plant-based solutions; and Molecular Ecophysiology, examining molecular adaptation mechanisms in response to environmental stressors.
