Research Interests: Dr. Kaps investigates how syntactic structures and information packaging (e.g., contrastive topics, ellipsis) interact with real-time language processing. Her work employs eye-tracking, pupillometry, and experimental methods to study phenomena in Estonian and other languages, addressing questions about agreement systems, word order flexibility, and the cognitive mechanisms underlying sentence comprehension.
Teaching: She teaches undergraduate courses on data analysis in R for psychology students and postgraduate modules on the psychology and neuroscience of language. As of 2024, she is not accepting new PhD supervision inquiries.
