Marián Schwarz

Prof. Ing. Marián Schwarz, CSc is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Technical University of Zvolen. He serves as Dean of the Faculty and External Coordinator for the UNESCO Chair for Ecological Awareness and Sustainable Development.

• Research Focus: Environmental monitoring, toxicology of pollutants (formaldehyde, VOCs, PAHs), forensic environmental analysis, chemical safety systems, and sustainable development.
• Student Supervision: Supervised over 40 theses across environmental engineering, toxicology, and forensic applications, including studies on microplastics, ozone impacts, and industrial waste management.
• Key Projects: Formaldehyde exposure analysis in workplaces, forensic trichological collections, environmental impact assessments of industrial processes, and sustainable material research.
