Marizen Ramirez is a Professor in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine School of Public Health. She holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from UCLA and has previously served as Associate Dean for Research and the Leon S. Robertson Professor of Injury Prevention at the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health. Her research focuses on injury and violence prevention, integrating community-based participatory approaches.

She has also served as a mentor and advisor in multiple studies, guiding research design and manuscript revisions.
