Mariusz Ozimek

Professor Mariusz Ozimek holds dual appointments at the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow (Department of Athletics, Institute of Sports Sciences) and Jagiellonian University (Department of Physical Education and Sport). A former athlete specializing in short-distance track events, he bridges academic research with practical coaching experience in athletics, swimming, handball, and soccer.

Education: Graduate of the Bronisław Czech Academy of Physical Education in Krakow with a Ph.D. (habilitation) in medical and health sciences specializing in physical culture science. Completed postgraduate studies in sports organization and management.

Research Focus: His work spans two interconnected domains: (1) Sports training theory for all skill levels, emphasizing exercise capacity assessment, motor skills measurement, and athlete selection optimization; (2) School physical education systems and health impacts of recreational activity. His methodology integrates physiological analysis with coaching practice across diverse sports disciplines.
