Marius M. Kjølstad

Marius M. Kjølstad is an Associate Professor at the University of Oslo's Faculty of Law, Department of Public Law. He holds a Master’s in Law from the University of Bergen (2019) and an LL.M. in Legal Theory from Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main (2019). His 2024 PhD dissertation at the University of Bergen focused on Norwegian state doctrine from 1800–1866, titled Political Teleology. Some Chapters on the Purpose of the State in Norwegian State Doctrine. His primary research area is legal history, with emphasis on Scandinavian legal traditions and constitutional thought.
