Marit Engen

Marit Engen is an Associate Professor in Service Innovation at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, University of Inland Norway. She holds a master's degree in Marketing from the University of South-Eastern Norway and a doctorate in Innovation in Service Provision (INTOP) from Innlandet University College (2016). She leads the INTOP PhD program at the university.

Her research focuses on service innovation, creativity, and public sector innovation, particularly in healthcare and care services. She explores employee-driven innovation, service design, and public service logic. Engen is part of the editorial team for the Nordic Journal of Social Research and has published in journals like Environment and Planning: Economy and Space and Journal of Service Management.

Teaching includes service management, creativity, and qualitative methods. She actively contributes to co-creation initiatives in research and service development through her involvement in the Co-Creation in Research and Service Development group.
