Marissa Hauptman

Marissa Hauptman, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and holds multiple leadership roles, including Co-Director of the Pediatric Environmental Health Center and the Region 1 New England Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit. Her research focuses on integrating environmental exposure data (via screening tools, spatial analysis, and biomarkers) to address health disparities in children with chronic diseases. She received an NIH/NIEHS K23 Career Development Award for her work on air pollution, stress, and asthma.

Publications: Her recent work highlights telemedicine for lead poisoning management, pandemic-related gaps in lead testing, and the role of urban green spaces in mitigating air pollution exposure. These studies emphasize actionable solutions to improve child health equity.
