Marisol Fernandez-Garcia

Marisol Fernandez-Garcia is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Romance Studies at Tufts University's School of Arts and Sciences. Her work focuses on Spanish Second Language Acquisition, Teacher Education, and Hispanic Linguistics. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and additional degrees from the University of Georgia and Universidad de Oviedo in Spain.

Awards: She was honored at the REAL appreciation day luncheon (2018) and recognized in Tufts' First-Year and Sophomore Exit Survey (2018). Her contributions to language education are reflected in her extensive textbook series like Conectándonos and Impresiones.

Teaching & Service: Teaches intermediate Spanish and language varieties courses. Active in university committees including the Cádiz Study Abroad Program and inclusive language initiatives.
