Marion Repetti

Marion Repetti is a Professor at HES-SO Valais – University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland. She serves as Head of the Social Work Institute and holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Lausanne (2015). Her work intersects gerontology, migration studies, and social policy, with a focus on retirement migration, ageism, and precarity in later life.

Her research explores age-friendly communities, the impact of the pandemic on marginalized older populations, and the socio-economic dimensions of retirement migration. Recent publications analyze ageism in healthcare, digital divides during crises, and resilience in aging communities.

Her work is funded through projects like the International Research on the Rights of Older Persons in the COVID-19 Pandemic (RIDPA) and Living Well in Retirement with Others (VIVRA). She is affiliated with the LIVES network, which studies vulnerable populations across the lifespan.
