Dr. Marion Preest is the Pritzker Family Foundation Professor of Biology at Scripps College. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Ecology and Systematics from Cornell University and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Zoology from Otago University, New Zealand.
Her research explores vertebrate physiological adaptations to environmental challenges, particularly in reptiles, fish, and birds. Key publications investigate stress responses in geckos, ion transport in fish, and unique nitrogen excretion mechanisms in hummingbirds.
