Dr. Marion Kanwischer is a Senior Scientist and Researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research (IOW) in Rostock, Germany. She leads the Analytics Group and the Organic Pollutants subgroup, focusing on analyzing persistent organic pollutants (POPs) such as chlorinated hydrocarbons and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons according to ISO standards. Her work contributes to IOW’s annual environmental monitoring for the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency.
