Marion Glaser

Dr. Marion Glaser is a leading researcher and Programme Area Lead (PA 3) at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) in Bremen, Germany. Her work focuses on social-ecological systems analysis, participatory resource management, and sustainability research in coastal and marine environments. She leads the Working Group for Social-Ecological Systems Analysis, emphasizing the integration of local knowledge, governance frameworks, and ecosystem dynamics.

Marion Glaser’s research spans Brazil, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and other tropical regions, addressing conflicts in marine resource use, livelihood sustainability, and climate change adaptation.
