Mariolina Gulli is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Genetics at the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences, University of Parma. She graduated cum laude in Biological Sciences from the University of Parma in 1987 and earned her PhD in Genetics and genetic improvement of Mediterranean crops from the University of Tuscia in 1993.
- Research focuses on genotype-environment interactions and plant stress responses
- Specializes in proteomic analysis of crop quality and heavy metal tolerance
- Develops molecular markers for assisted plant selection
Her recent work explores biochar, microbial consortia, and sustainable strategies for crop resilience. She serves as a scientific reviewer for international journals and participates in EU projects like SIMBA. Key projects include ES.O.PO (biopesticides), RISORGO (water-efficient sorghum), and PNRR-funded research on plant metabolomics.
