Giovanna Visioli is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical, Life and Environmental Sustainability Sciences, University of Parma. With a PhD in Agricultural Genetics (1997) and extensive postdoctoral experience, she specializes in environmental biotechnology applications, plant stress responses, and agri-food supply chain traceability. Her research focuses include:
- Phytoremediation of heavy metals and PFAS contaminants
- Epigenetic regulation in metal-stressed plants
- Perennial crop rhizosphere dynamics
- Metabolomic and proteomic analysis for sustainable agriculture
- Metagenomic characterization of soil microbiomes
