Mario Looso is a Professor in the Department of Life Science Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen (Giessen, Germany), with a primary affiliation at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research. He leads a Bioinformatics Lab that focuses on developing and applying computational methods to analyze omics data (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) for studying heart and lung development, regeneration, and disease progression.
